Over the past year, I joined Saatchi & Saatchi Germany and became part of the REWE Creation Team as a motion designer.
I was involved in almost all major REWE campaigns — including Regio, Plant-Based, Bo Bonut, Christmas Handzettel. For many of these campaigns, I was responsible for developing the 2D-3D motion identity and executing content across different media.
What was especially interesting for me was that my role gradually shifted beyond pure execution. In several projects, I acted more like a motion director — thinking about consistency, storytelling, and how motion could strengthen the overall campaign idea.
REWE Bo-Bonus
when I first joined the Creation Team, the Bo animation . did not be animated by creation team. Because of my background in animation, I pitched the idea that we could take ownership of this project internally and develop it further.
Our team won the social media animation project for Bo Bonut, and I took on the role in shaping its animation.
REWE Christmas Handzettel
The REWE Christmas Handzettel campaign was a particularly beautiful project for me.
After receiving the concept, I was responsible for developing the animation identity for the campaign. This included adding post-production animation to the background photography — bringing a festive Christmas atmosphere to otherwise static visuals.
I also designed subtle UX animations, making sure the motion felt warm, elegant, and supportive of the overall design rather than overpowering it.
The project required very close collaboration with the account team, the creation team, and external partners. Through clear communication and alignment across all parties, we managed to deliver the project very smoothly — and the client was highly satisfied with the final result.
